Mandatory Reviews Required by Pennsylvania Law 
 
 
Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 of 1967, as amended) – MPC:  Written reports are prepared by ACOPD as required by the MPC.  They are advisory in nature and are designed to assist township and borough officials in making appropriate, regionally consistent land use decisions.
 
  • Subdivision Plans (Adams County charges a Review Fee to cover the cost of preparing these reviews.)
  • Land Development Plans (Adams County charges a Review Fee to cover the cost of preparing these reviews.)
  • Municipal and Multi-municipal Comprehensive Plans and Comprehensive Plan Amendments
  • Municipal and Multi-municipal Zoning Ordinances and Zoning Ordinance Amendments
  • Municipal and Multi-municipal Subdivision and Land Development Ordinances (SALDO) and SALDO Amendments
  • Municipal Official Maps
  • Municipal Activities identified in Section 304 of the MPC (these reviews include modification to streets, public grounds, and watercourses, construction of water and sewer lines or sewer treatment facilities, etc.).
           
 
Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities Act (Act 537):
  • Municipal Act 537 Plans.
  • Sewage Facility Planning Modules (Adams County charges a Review Fee to cover the cost of preparing these reviews.)
Acts 67 and 68 Reviews:
  • Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Applications
Miscellaneous :
  • Agricultural Security Areas (in accordance with the Agricultural Area Security Law of 1981, as amended).
