Technology has allowed us to gather and distribute this valuable information in new and exciting ways. We hope you find it useful and easy to use. Thank you to all of the chief clerks, county administrators, personnel directors, administrative assistants, and other county officials who assisted the Association in collecting the data and completing the questionnaires. We welcome any comments or suggestions on ways we can continue to improve the survey.
CCAP's Salary and Benefits Survey is compiled each year to provide our members with reliable data about how counties are compensating employees. CCAP strives to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information as possible, but please recognize the limitations of the data. Not all counties supplied 2008 information, and of those who did, each is unique. Job descriptions and titles are not always consistent from county to county, but we have done our best to present the best comparison of data possible.
This report includes salaries of job titles in broad categories (e.g. administrative, courts, human services) and benefits information for general county employees and various bargaining units. In cases where more than one person holds the job, salary ranges are listed. A similar format is used regarding positions that are paid on an hourly basis.
